ANDRE LAMY

(1936 – 1975)

André Lamy studied goldsmith at Maredsous Abbey School under the direction of remarkable teachers such as the sculptor Felix Roulin (teacher of modeling) and the painter Marcel Warrand (teacher of drawing)

Liliane Nathalie Mosselmans introduced him to her husband Fernand Demaret.

André Lamy was creating beautiful modern abstract jewellery which inspired Fernand Demaret to turn to his style.

Their association who started in 1961 and lasted a few years, is worthy of note her for it hails the first real opening of the commercial sector to modern jewellery (Bijoux Belges Contemporains. Page 61

His premature death in 1975 cut short what could have been a brillant career.
