The sculptor Giorgio Facchini was born in Fano, in Italy’s Marche region.
Following his education in Fano and higher education in Venice, he specialised in creating fine sculpted jewels which are more conceptual than decorative. Awarded a professorship at Brera (Milan), he built up a rich curriculum, developing a personal style of jewellery inspired by the intellectual stimulus of the sculptural and pictorial artistic movements of the late 1960s.
His works have been exhibited in museums and art galleries in Italy, France, Australia, Germany and the United States, and have won several international awards. Facchini currently works mainly in Marche and Umbria (Spoleto).
