Claude Wesel studied at Maredsous Abbey School and in Brussels’ La Cambre visual arts school. He is one of the spearheads of contemporary Belgian jewellery creation. Claude Wesel forged an original artistic vocabulary by using a biomechanical style that often triggers emotions linked to collective or personal memories. Several pieces of the artist can be found in prestigious institutions such as Pforzheim’s Schmuckmuseum, the Communauté française des arts plastiques, Antwerp’s Diamond Museum, and Houston’s Museum of Fine Arts (MFAH).
