ARNALDO POMODORO
(Born 1926)
Arnaldo Pomodoro is born in 1926 in Morciano di Romagna (Italy).
He trained as an architect before being acclaimed one of Italy’s major sculptors, and is best known for his large spheres in bronze. Pomodoro’s works are connected to feelings and contrasts. Whether it is miniature jewelry or monumental sculptures, A. Pomodoro gives his work a geological aspect similar to a process of corrosion. As brother in law of GianCarlo Montebello, they worked together in producing a few gold and silver pieces in the 70’s.
